Last month I wrote about some of the fused glass pieces (below are just some of the dishes) I made with Wissmach Prisma Glass, Reactive Blue Oster Pearl and Oster Pearl Reactive Blue. Such a beautiful glass.
I loved this glass so much I decided to make pebbles and squares and see what I could make out of it. First, I did a couple of tests. This first set of pictures is squares and rectangles then I grouted it and fused it again. The next sample, I put the squares and rectangles on then a big piece of the glass albeit I didn’t grout. The last dish, I put glass dots and then added powder.
I love all three of these little fused glass dishes, I think they are all beautiful. Which is your favorite?
Then I made this big, beautiful pebble fused glass bowl. The first picture is inside the kiln before firing, the second is on the slumping mold, and the rest are after it was finished. Isn’t it just beautiful, makes me want to put water in so it looks like the bottom of a river full of stones.
I also made a few fused glass drink stirrers. I love them, they remind me of wood and stone, and I just think they are amazing.
So which technique do you like best?
