I participated in the Doherty High School Arts and Craft Show this month. I always love talking about my glass. My husband Dan is a gigantic help. I just don’t know what I’d do without him. Additionally, I want to thank Lela and Marco, setting up shows are extremely difficult when you have bad knees and they helped us carry everything in.
Here are a few shots of my booth. I so enjoy sharing my love of glass.
I held a drawing for those who signed up for my newsletter – the winner is Colleen. She can choose her $25 worth of free fused glass from my website or from my home shows. I’ve already been in contact with her and will publish my next home show (probably February) in my January Newsletter.
I gave away fused glass Christmas, Thanksgiving, and even Halloween pendants to everyone who gets my newsletter and came by the show. I love giving presents to my newsletter recipients/readers for a couple of reasons,
- It’s difficult times and everyone deserves a special gift.
- I really appreciate those of you who get/read my newsletters – it makes me feel so good when someone says I got your newsletter and I love the story about…
- It makes my day to see people who love my glass art so enticing them with a free gift is actually selfish for me.
Thank you again to all those who get and read my newsletters – That is why I give presents to all my newsletter recipients who visit my shows.
BTW I always like to support other artists so here are a few things I purchased from other artists. I went a bit overboard this time but, I can’t help myself so many fabulous artists and vendors.
Last year I bought a cute little tree – that’s so perfect for Christmas and all year long (I kill live plants) and I wanted another one, so I went to her booth while we were still unpacking and then went back the next morning. The first picture is of the tree I purchased last year, and the bottom is from this year. I love how she puts cute little pieces all over the trees.
Please support your local artists. The price the charge isn’t close to the heart, time, and soul they put into their artwork.

It is published the last day of each month.
Keeping my kiln warm,
Karen
