During the Doherty craft fair one of my favorite customers asked me if I could do something with a glass bracelet that she broke. It was a beautiful purple dicrohic glass bracelet. Below are the broken pieces.
I wasn’t sure what COE the glass was but I did a test with black COE 90 glass and it worked great. So I full fused a piece of purple glass and drilled a hole in it and put a pinch bail. Isn’t it pretty.
Since the test piece worked so well I made it into a snap. BTW I’m not sure if I mentioned it, but the deal was I got to keep one of the pieces. Purple is my favorite color. The piece I kept was the purple on black.
This is one of the things I love about glass, it can be refused. I think they turned out wonderfully. I’m just not sure which I like best the purple transparent glass or the purple glass on black. Which is your favorite?
I’m also trying to figure out what to do with the last piece of purple transparent. Any ideas?
