Washington DC

Last week I was able to travel to Washington DC for work. I love to travel whether for personal reasons or for work. I didn’t have a lot of free time, but I did take the time to see Mount Vernon and of course some of the monuments. I’ve been to DC a few times in my life albeit I’ve never been to Mount Vernon. It was huge and beautiful, in this day and age of cancel culture it was wonderful to see school children of all ages visiting Mount Vernon and understanding all aspects of George Washington. Here are just a few of my pictures.

I also went down to the National Mall and visited the Lincoln memorial. I’m a firm believer in remembering our history – the good and the bad.

I visited the Korean and WWII memorials. Pretty sobering especially with what’s going on in Ukraine.

I visited the Washington Monument. It’s so huge and beautiful.

It was so great traveling again, even with wearing the masks in the airports.
