I’ve written about Tulip’s in Denver several times. I’m very lucky that they have some of my fused glass in their shop. It’s changed hands a few times and the new owners came by to checkout my studio and to drop off some pieces and to pick up new pieces. Anyway, I’ve also talked about Tracy, she has a laser jet cutter and can cut shapes out of glass. She said she could cut it out of thin or thick glass. So when Sharon and her husband came by I showed them a few thin pieces and thick pieces I was going to have Tracy cut into shapes for me. The piece below, I was telling them that I was going to have her cut it up into a bear. They both were like please do not cut this piece up, we’ll take it. I was shocked and so happy that someone could see what I saw in this piece. They made it into a charcuterie board. I love that they sent me the pictures possible display options.
I also had pressed glass that I LOVE but didn’t really know what I wanted to do with them. I made 1 into a bowl and 1 I made into artwork. But Sharon liked the bottom 3, she has great taste doesn’t she. The bottom 3 pictures are what she made with them.
She also took another piece I was going to have Tracy cut, isn’t that funny. I love it how she took some amazing art pieces.
Thank you Sharon for taking such beautiful glass art and displaying them so beautifully. Sharon is a supporter of Artists and by all means if you are in Colorado please check out Tulips in Denver.
