In my last blog I wrote about our trip to Steamboat Springs. How we went to the hot springs and snowmobiling. So much fun.
We also took the gondola up to the top of the ski runs (no I don’t ski anymore). Something I didn’t know about Steamboat is it has sent more athletes to the Winter Olympics than any other place in North America. But after being there I’m not surprised, so many steep ski runs. Anyway Steamboat has amazing views. We had lunch and looked around. Really enjoyed the views and the gondola ride.
Steamboat also has an old fashion ice cream parlor where you eat at the counter. So good and a lot of fun.
Steamboat has the Yampa river so we walked around a bit but there was so much snow. I’m looking forward to going to see the river during the summer. We’re thinking about driving there while we’re up at Breckenridge next summer.
BTW so many great restaurants in Steamboat. I saw a bit of glass while I was there, but not nearly enough for me. The one store that had some big pieces was closed. 🙁 In case there is any doubt I always look for glass. But we did have fun walking around town.
Here are a few pictures from our drive home. I love Colorado! I’m so blessed to live in such a stunning place. Yes those are bison in the 3rd picture. We saw elk, bison, and deer on our way home.
Again thank you for letting me blog about our fantastic trip to Steamboat!
