In last month’s Newsletter I wrote about some of my silk screened fused glass artwork. This month I’d like to show you a few fused glass silk screen jewelry pieces. I’ve just got started on the silk screen fused glass jewelry but the possibilities are amazing. Thank you Tanya from AAE glass. This first group Technique is called “Creating Depth and Drama”. The first picture is of two flower pendants both made with Red but completely different. The second on has two layers of silk screens the moons are on a different layer. The third picture is what Tanya called “Hombre” color shaded. I love this technique and can’t wait to do more with this technique (blending one color into another).
The technique above is pretty complicated but these pictures below are a bit simpler but still very cool. I especially like the silk screen on dichroic. The second picture are some of my test pieces. The key is getting the firing scheduled just right.
I went a little nuts creating the silk screens (over 25), now I just need to put them together.
These just came out of the kiln. They turned out pretty good. I can’t wait to some more.
