In addition, to the large fused glass production order I’ll talk about in this month’s newsletter “Did You Know” over the last three months I had several other production orders.
The first one was soap dishes for a hotel in California. They have ordered from me several times and I really love the color of these soap dishes. Below is a picture of the glass for the soap dishes on the molds ready for their slump firing.
Here is another order of soap dishes for a hotel in Arizona. The first picture is the cut glass set up in the kiln and the second picture is after the first firing and ready for the slump firing.
The third set of soap dishes was for another hotel in Arizona. Both the first and last firings.
This last production order is for right here in Colorado. It was very challenging. It’s for a restaurant and he wanted little cups for dips. He gave me specific sizes and wanted it to look like a paint palette. The first one I made I cut the glass then drilled holes then slumped it and then I made separate little cups. He wanted it to be all one piece so I made another type and he loved it. For a production order it’s a relatively small order so hopefully I’ll be finished soon.
