Sangre De Cristo 3rd Street Gallery

Recently I visited the Sangre De Cristo 3rd Street Gallery in Westcliffe. My good Friend Gina had two paintings in the show (top row). Gina and I have been friends since around 2006. She gave me one of her paintings a while back (bottom row). She’s also one of the people who told me about Westcliffe.

Here are a few pictures of the gallery. It’s amazing how many amazing artists the town of Westcliffe has. The bottom row is of the outside and of course the hors d’oeuvres for the showing.

While I was at the Beckwith Show, several people told me I should have some of my pieces in the gallery. Here are a few pictures of the Beckwith Show – Don’t forget I have some of my glass pieces in Beckwith’s store.

Anyway, I joined the guild and am going to submit some of my glass art to the gallery and I need your help. I am allowed to submit 3 pieces want to have at least 4 or 5 pieces ready. I want both hanging and sculptures. Here are the pieces I’m thinking of submitting. My husband chose one of my fused glass aspen.

I also want to submit one of my fused glass flowers, but which one??? Help me choose which flower to submit.

For the last piece, I have no idea! I want it to hang. Should it be a coral piece? Or should it be a textured piece? Or should I make a new piece? What to make, what to make!

Here is the link to the 3rd Street Gallery Sangres Art Guild | Westcliffe, CO. Additionally the maps of where Westcliffe is and how to get to the gallery.

The gallery also had some books and other things for sale. I bought two books and an art journal, how cool is that. The bottom photo is their brochure. I will have some of their brochures at my Woodland Park show.

Please let me know which 3 pieces I should submit to the Gallery for the Blend of Art showing.

  1. Love the lavender and blue flower – and the coral piece is such an intricate design! The teal green piece is gorgeous of course, but I believe the coral depicts a higher skill level in glasswork.

    • Thank you Tammi, however now I’m torn my friend said the red flower. I have a home show on Sunday maybe I’ll take a poll. It’s difficult for me because I love all my flowers! Thank you for your input on the coral piece, I think I’ll make a big coral piece to really make a statement but sadly it won’t be ready for this show but I’ll make one for my next show. Thank you for your advice!
