We went to visit Dan’s family on the Western Slope for Thanksgiving. It’s such a wonderful visit. The drive over and back were so beautiful. The fire by grizzly trail was horrible, it went for miles. Thank God the fire stopped before hitting Glenwood springs and the damage was horrendous. Anyway on the way home we stopped by Rifle waterfalls. It was stunning.
You can walk behind them but it was so slick and between my bad knees and wrong shoes we couldn’t make it up. We still loved it.
There are also caves, albeit due to some health issues that both Dan and I have we weren’t able to walk around as much as I would have liked, but we saw quite a bit. It’s such a beautiful area.
Every time we take a drive in Colorado I’m reminded how much I love it. Colorado has everything e.g., plains, mountains, lakes, forests, rivers, canyons, and so much more. I so blessed to live in Colorado!
