Retirement Gifts for My Nephew

My nephew, Rocky, just retired from the Air Force. He served 22 years just as I did. I’m so proud of him and I wanted to create something to commemorate his retirement. I created custom screen prints and then created this beautiful iridized white sconce. It’s kind of perfect timing with Veterans day on November 11th.

I added star screen prints, Red for hardiness and valor – representing courage and sacrifice. Rocky was deployed to Iraq which definitely took courage and sacrifice. Blue represents – vigilance and perseverance. The white of the sconce represents purity and innocence.

I also made him a small dish, he is an Air Force Veteran. I made it out of red, white, and blue glass for the same reason as I listed above.

Here they are together. I hope he likes them. Rocky, if you are reading this, I love you and I’m so very proud of you.

I love you Rocky, I’m so very proud of you. Congratulations on your retirement and Thank You for your Service to America!!
