I held a private fused glass class. I gave Christmas colored pendants again as the free gift for taking the class
In the other class this month I showed the fused glass gallery and inspiration room setup and thought I’d show you them again in this post. The bottom two pictures are of my “finished room”
Here are pictures of my studio and some of the supplies available to students including vitrigraph, murine, millefiori, etc. There were 4 students and two wanted to make night lights, one wanted to make plant stakes and one wanted to make a pocket vase.
It was Maddy’s birthday and she wanted to make fused glass night lights, aren’t they beautiful! When I can I let students make two. This way they can give one as a gift and keep one for themselves. Just like in the Fish class I let students make a Christmas ornament or pendant. Madi made a snowman (I’ll show you what happened to it). So she didn’t miss out I made her another one.
Her mom, made night lights as well. She did a great job, they look so pretty. She also made a snowman ornament/pendant, just a different technique.
Jennifer made two fused glass plant stakes, they turned out beautifully. She wanted it to match her daughter’s pocket vase so she had plenty of time and got to make two magnets. They turned out perfect!
Tatum created a fused glass pocket vase, which takes a lot more work than the other projects. She did a fabulous job. She made two magnets for her friends, they turned out fabulously.
The techniques used for the free projects (Christmas presents), are two similar but a bit different. Two of which had issues, so I remade them. The pictures on the top are the pieces with issues. The bottom row are the ones I gave them. Hopefully they are happy with them.
As a great surprise Jennifer bought one of my fused glass flowers, which one do you think she chose? These are stunning flowers and I don’t take them to my shows so the only way to see them is in my posts and during home shows. Thank you Jennifer for buying one of my special forever flowers.
