I just finished writing my DYK section for my Fused Glass newsletter and one of my goals is to have more classes this year. So, I went through my website and looked for projects that can be done in 1 class (I’ll fuse and then slump if required). Below are some of the Fused Glass classes I do give now.
Fused Glass Functional Projects | Fused Glass Functional Projects | Fused Glass Art Projects |
Tea dish 3×3 | Nightlight | Art pieces |
4×4 Dish | Votive | Pocket Hearts, Paws, Bear Castings |
Pocket Vase | Forever Flower Magnets | Jewelry (Pendants & Earrings) |
Plant Stakes | Stirrers | Holiday art (Valentine, Halloween, Christmas) |

Here are some of my new projects starting next month.

Here are some of the new techniques &/or projects I’m considering as fused glass classes I’m considering.

Flowers | Small & Large Textured |
Mixed Media – Glass & Wood | Wind Chimes |
Lanterns | Small Flower Sconce |
Screen Printing | Mixed Media – Glass & Resin |
bubbles | Ikebana Vase |

In addition, to the fused glass classes above I’m also looking at various FREE fused glass gifts to give to those who attend my classes. As you can see, I listed a couple types for each month, this way if someone takes more than 1 class in a month they don’t have to have the same gift. NOTE: don’t worry I change out the pendants, so students have a variety of choices.
- February: Hearts, Irish, or pendants
- March: Irish, Easter, or pendants
- April: Easter, Mother’s Day, or pendants
- May: Mother’s Day, tie tac, or pendants
- June: tie tac, patriotic, pendant, or pendants
- July: patriotic or pendants
- Aug: stirrers or pendants
- Sept: magnets or pendants
- Oct: Halloween or pendants
- Nov: patriotic, Christmas, or pendants
- Dec: any of the above or Christmas
Occasionally I offer my students a free technique including decals, mica, dichroic slide and fusible punches. I may continue to do this for some of my classes, it depends. I may save it for those who take multiple classes from me.

Last but not least, I always have my Fused Glass Gallery available during my classes for inspiration and for students to purchase beautiful, fused glass.

I’m also thinking about other give aways for example when someone hosts a class (schedule a class with 3-5 people). I think this is a great way of showing my gratitude for “sponsoring” a class. It will be bigger than the normal free gifts. I’m still mulling it over, recommendations are appreciated. I’m sure you wonder why do I give free gifts? Mainly because I love glass and I love to share it, secondly I like showing my gratitude for those who come to my house for a class, and I of course I have a lot of glass to share.
