I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I sure did. It’s always good to see family.
So I always tell my fused glass customers if you break a piece of art glass don’t just throw it a way I can always make something with it for you, i.e., refuse it into something pretty. Well here is proof. When I was making one of my tree of life sconces I went up to fast and it cracked so I broke it up added some clear. I’m not sure if you can tell but there is some iridized and the clear made the transparent glass even more transparent in some places. Anyway I think it’s cool, the picture doesn’t really do it justice.
Now the question is what to do with it.
I love the organic edges but there is some extra clear so I could cut off the clear then put it it back on the tree mold or the green-man texture mold for a very funky organic look.
Or I could leave it the way it is and make it into a very organic bowl.
Or I could trim it or leave it organic and add some more powder with a screen-printing.
Or ???? There are just so many ways to make it even more cool. What are some of your ideas??
Let me know what you think I should do. There might be a prize for the person who’s Idea I use!!
