I have a large family and an even larger extended family. Here are just a few of the posts I’ve written about my family. I love them all so very much!

This month I went to Texas to visit my Family and Friends. My first stop was to visit my brother (Tim) and sister (Vera). My brother has been sick, which is one of the reasons I went to visit. The first three pictures are at Tim’s place, the second group is Tim and Vera getting pedicures – they both loved it (Vera even fell asleep). The next line is our goodbye photos. BTW I also gave them some fused glass gifts (1st is Tim’s & 2nd is Vera’s – she already has several hearts), they both liked their fused glass dishes. Tim even put his up with all of his other favorite things.

BTW after I left Tim & Vera, my sister (Laurie) and brother (Fred) visited them as well. We all love our big brother and hope he feels better soon.

Next I visited my Aunt Shirley. When I lived in Texas 20 years ago she and I got pretty close. We had a wonderful time (sorry about my horrible grin), talking about old times, how she met my Uncle Carl, we looked at old pictures, and so much more. She’s an incredible lady. BTW they are the ones that introduced me to Beverly Doolittle; top row are in my house (all given to my by Shirley & Carl) and the bottom row is in Shirley’s house (notice any similarities?). BTW I gave Aunt Shirley a fused glass magnet too, but forgot to take a picture of it.

Next I met a cousin (Shirley & Carl’s daughter) Marleen, she and I have become close on Facebook and she made me a quilt (below) and I made her some glass pieces (below). I look forward to getting to know her better. I invited both Aunt Shirley and Marleen to Colorado, I hope they both come.

Then I met my two BFFs (Iris and Lela) in Fredericksburg. Iris and I met almost 20 yrs ago and Lela and I met in 2008. They are both incredible women and both obviously are Air Force Veterans. Iris moved to TX a few years ago and we talked about visiting since she left and finally made it. We had an absolute blast. First we didn’t realize it when we booked the Air BNB but it was Octoberfest. So Lela (BTW there is nothing this talented woman can’t do) made us all dresses! Aren’t they fabulous! We loved wearing them.

We loved the Air BNB, Iris booked it and it was in walking distance from town. The first night we stayed up until midnight talking. I so love these amazing women.

Here are some pictures of Iris, Lela (drawing, because she prefers not to have her picture online), and me. We had such a wonderful time. Our first night we went to a German restaurant and it was pretty good and I’m particular about German food because I was stationed in Germany 6yrs, Lela 3 yrs, and Iris had been to Germany several times.

We went to the Octoberfest, it was crowded, but we had fun and I had a funnel cake. I didn’t take too many pictures, but these were of the musicians honoring the Armed Forces, all of us being Air Force Veterans we all stood there sang all the songs (Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines). God Bless our Troops and our Veterans.

We decided to have our picture drawn. It was fun. I think she did a great job.

Some of my purchases, so many great choices, love my handmade cloth placemats and those cool metal displays. I got 2 stands 1 for the dragonfly that I bought (I’m thinking about adding glass) and a second one for my fused glass butterflies. I also gave Iris some fused glass gifts and she gave us some as well. (first 2 are Lela’s and the last 2 are Iris’s)

Two more pictures of my and my friends. We had such a wonderful time we agreed to schedule another trip. Iris chose this location I got to chose the next one and I chose the north east. We already booked the Air BNB in Rockport Rhode Island in October! I can’t wait!
