So I really love learning new things so recently I took 2 classes… Cooking classes!! The first class was a French Macarons class. This was more of a demonstration but I still enjoyed it. The class was in a local shop. Nice shop and instructor.
What I learned from this class? That macaroons are extremely finicky to make. I also learned I won’t be making macaroons! I took this class with my good friend Lela, her daughter, and her mother-in-law. This picture is what 1/2 of our macaroons made – not great looking but they tasted pretty good.
My favorite part of this class? She let us choose 12 real French Macarons that she made. They were fantastic!!
I’ll talk about my 2nd class in my next blog. One thing is for sure I have no problem buying macarons from local bakers vs making them.
