As I mentioned Sky just graduated UCCS, Magna Cum Laude in English and Philosophy. We are so very proud of her! She didn’t have an actual graduation because of COVID, but we did take a few pictures with her diploma!
This month Sky went off to Law School. She has her own apartment and is completely on her own. Yesterday and today we moved her in, we took her shopping and got her set up. She has started unpacking but has a ways to go. Her first meal she cooked was pork chops and applesauce! We got her the pillow as a housewarming gift. It’s such a bitter sweet time. I love her so much and I want the best for her which means going out on her own. I love you Sky and I know you will do amazing things with your life. Remember we are your parents and will always love you and we’ll always be here for you.
We haven’t had professional family photo’s done since Sky’s senior year in high school and sense she’s going off to law school this month we thought we’d have some made. A local photographer had a promotion to support Wounded Warriors and I thought it was a perfect time to support a worthy cause and have family photos taken. Here they are, I love them especially the rendition of the American Flag behind us.
Before Sky left: Sky loves bracelets so I bought a couple but they didn’t fit her so we restrung them and made charms out of the remaining beads. Sky liked it so much she asked to go through my other beads. I love sharing these kinds of things with Sky.

Thanks for sharing all your news and pictures! Congratulations Sky! You are amazing and I have enjoyed meeting and visiting with you at the craft show. The Woodland Park show last weekend was smaller than usual but had wonderful artists and crafters. I missed seeing you there. Where is Sky going to Law School? That is a mighty lofty venture, for sure. Best wishes for a good education that really teaches you law and not Critical Race Theory and all those subjects that make America look badly. Seeing you with the flag behind you must encourage all of you (Mom, Dad, and Sky) to be very proud Americans who want our Democracy to return!!
Jo, it’s so great hearing from you. Yes I was out of town so I couldn’t do that art show. Sky is going to DU law school in Denver and I hope they only teach law and ethics not hatred of America. Yep I’m military so I have the upmost respect for America, our anthem and our Flag which is why we took the pictures. I believe in standing up for what I love and that’s America and Family! I hope to see you at another craft show!
