Earlier this month I held a fused glass large vase class. These students are very experienced students, which is why they wanted to make large vases. As always I give small gifts to those who take classes with me. Here are pictures of the pendants, pocket hearts, and even St Patrick’s Day pendants.

For every class I prepare my studio and class area for my students. Here are pictures of my studio and some of the supplies available to for Brenda, Chris, and Kayla including vitrigraph, murine, millefiori, frit, etc.

Here is my “finishing & inspiration” room, which means this is where I finish my fused glass artwork by adding bails, etc. Additionally, this is where I keep artwork that I love and inspires me. Some pieces I’ve made in classes and some I’ve created and want to make again.

Here is my “finished” room which means all the fused glass artwork and jewelry in this room is finished and for sale.

Lastly here is my Fused Glass Gallery, this is artwork is for sale and can be used as inspiration for my students. There are certain fused glass art pieces that I don’t have classes for (they are too complicated) and are for sale.

Here are some pictures of Brenda creating her two fused glass vases. She did a fabulous job on both of her vases. Notice Brenda is wearing a mask, the reason is Chris used glass powders, so everyone had to wear masks for safety.

Brenda used two of my fused glass vases (below) as inspiration for her vases.

Chris used one of my advance vases for her inspiration (first picture). What that means is she made a component during this class then came back and put it together. When it came out there was an issue, so I added another piece of glass and it’s still in the kiln. The bottom row shows Chris’s free technique, it’s a pocket charm.

Kayla used one of my vases as her inspiration as well and just made it bigger. What a beautiful vase.

Kayla also wanted to make casted fused glass puppy paws with cremains of her precious dog that recently passed. She did a great job. She used one of my paws as an example.
