Kanji Fused Glass and Wood Sign

Last month I made a sign for my good friend (pictured below) and I liked it so much I thought I’d make a new sign with glass and wood.

I made these Kanji (Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water) fused glass pieces a while back, but I decided they’d look better as an art piece. The little art pieces are beautiful! They are a powder technique and made with silver foil and reactive glasses.

I find it fascinating how I can take 4 smaller pieces and put them together into a lovely piece of fused glass and wood art.

If you would like to see more of my fused glass work, please refer to my website Elegant Fused Glass by Karen. If you get a chance, check out all my site and my Elegant Fused Glass by Karen YouTube. If you would like to stay abreast of what I’m up-to and learn a little more about jewelry, check out our newsletter. It is published the last day of each month.

Keeping my kilns warm,

Karen
