I’m so excited about the Fused Glass – Fresh From the Kiln for January that I’m doing it a little early. I’ve wanted to make a fused glass lamp for quite some time and now I have two and can’t wait to make another. Hopefully  I’ll be making hanging pendent light next!

The Fused Glass Lamp is so beautiful and really adds a little light anywhere you’d like. The Orange, Yellow, and Red colors make it look like a torch! I really love it and I hope ya’ll do too.

The second fused glass lamp is blue and greens and so pretty when lit. The base is black and stands 4″ the fused glass is between 4 & 5 depending on which one you like.

Fused glass lamps are a little tricky because you have to fire the glass in the kiln twice, the last time over a stainless steel mold to get the shape. Then you have to drill the hole with a diamond bit and hope you don’t break it. The latter is the reason why I haven’t made it. I was afraid of breaking it but when one of my best friends asked me if I could do it I’m like of course!

Then I put my brave face on and drilled two back to back without breaking either one. It’s funny how nervousness can prevent you from doing something you really want to do.

Don’t forget I also have votives of every size, of course only candle lit verses electrical.
