I screwed up: follow-up to My Glass art in the Sangre De Cristo 3rd Street Gallery

I was supposed to be one of the artists in October’s show at the Sangre De Cristo 3rd Street Gallery in Westcliffe. However, I missed the intake for the Changing Seasons show Oct 5–Nov 13.

However, I went for the reception anyway and spoke with Liz, she let me put my fused glass aspen with the bear upstairs, so it isn’t technically part of the show, but it is in the gallery. As a reminder here are my three fused glass pieces, but only one is upstairs.

Here are some of the lovely artwork in the “Changing Season” show. I liked that they had stained glass. So which ones did I vote for?

It should be no surprise that my first choice was a fabulous stained-glass piece that is 3 dimensions. The other piece that I voted for is a spectacular painting; I love the landscape and then the pattern lain on top of it so to speak.

Here are some of the fantastic artwork for sale upstairs in the gallery. One of my favorites is Scott Dankof’s photography – he does spectacular photos of the milky-way in Westcliffe. I was also impressed with Liz’s extraordinary fiber work.

Here is where Liz put my fused glass aspen and bear “A Walk in the Trees”. Thank you, Liz, you are very kind.

So funny story, I asked my new friend Rose to meet me at the gallery for a girl’s day out. She and I were in the gallery, and I look out the door and who is walking up the stairs to come in?? My good friend Gina, she came into setup the snacks. The three of us set there talking for 3 1/2 hours! What fun, friendship new and old is invaluable to enjoying life.

Here is the link to the 3rd Street Gallery Sangres Art Guild | Westcliffe, CO. Additionally the maps of where Westcliffe is and how to get to the gallery. I recommend you stop by the Gallery and see all the beautiful artwork downstairs and upstairs!!
