Recently, I wrote a post about my art show at Woodland Park Art Festival and the winner (Tammy). This post is a bit different. During my show I met some wonderful people. Two of the most memorable people I met was this amazing couple. She and I got to talking and I noticed her American Flag pin (it was her mom’s) and I told her I was an Air Force veteran and loved America and pointed out my two American Flag pieces. She told me she had the American Flag all over their property because her husband was a vet too. About that time, I looked over at him – he’s a Vietnam vet.

We talked for quite some time; she bought a fused glass bracelet. It was pretty funny; the sponsors of the art festival give away a $20 voucher every hour and she won while she was in my booth. Anyway, we talked about what America is going through right now and what it was like when he came home from the war; he said he was lucky because he was stationed in Europe after his tour in Vietnam. We talked about our time while we were both stationed in Europe. They were such fabulous people, both so funny and thoughtful; I felt compelled to show them both my gratitude for their service. Here is a picture of me with two brave people who sacrificed so much for America.

Thank you, all our veterans for your service. God Bless you, your family, and God Bless America!
