Happy Thanksgiving – 2021

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I had a great time with family on the western slope (Delta) of Colorado. Here are just a few pictures of family. It was the first time Sky wasn’t with us. In fact it was the only time we weren’t all together since she was born other than when I was in Iraq.

One of my favorite parts was going shooting. It’s been a while since Dan and I went shooting and it was so much fun. Big thanks to my brother-in-law for letting us use his guns.

It was such a pretty sunset and view from my in-laws house. I especially like the old truck.

My father-in-law is an amazing artist and I’ve been wanting this picture for a very long time. Well they gave it to me this Thanksgiving. I hung it over our fireplace so I can see it all the time.

Again I hope you all had wonderful Thanksgiving and today is the start of Hanukkah – Happy Hanukkah to all my Jewish friends.

  1. Karen,
My wife is a native Coloradan and her mother used to live in Delta. We visited several times before she to Grand Junction and then to California.

First, we want to thank you for your service and fully understand why you settled (“retired?”) to the Springs.

I took up glass fusing before I retired from faculty at the U. of Arkansas. Three years ago we moved to Rocky River, OH to follow our son and our grandchildren.

While I did go to several shows in Fayetteville, I have not done many here but plan to do so.

I purchase my glass from D&L Glass in Denver and we have a timeshare in Avon. We finally got back this September and the color was some of the best I have seen in 40 years.

I always enjoy reading your newsletter, learning about your shows, family, and seeing your current glass art.

Take care, stay safe, and keep on fusing.

    Bill
