Happy Mother’s Day Momma

With Mother’s day coming up I was thinking about my mom, I haven’t seen her since Oct of 2019. She’s in a care facility in Tennessee but my amazing sister Joanne and her wonderful children go and see her as much as they can.

Last time I saw Momma I gave her a fused glass cross and last mother’s day I gave one of my fused glass flower bouquets magnets. This year I’m sending her one of my fused glass hearts, to show her she is still in my thoughts and in my heart even though I don’t see her very often. Because she doesn’t have a lot of space in her room I made it into a magnet. I love you Momma, Happy Mother’s Day!

In addition to my mom I made a fused heart magnet for my mother in law. We are very close and I love her and wanted to show her she is in my thoughts and heart. Two interesting comments, first my husband picks out the bests cards in the world, they always say the right thing. Second, I made several hearts for him to chose from, but the heart here is a beautiful red with so much depth. In all honesty I chose it for him but I knew he wouldn’t use it as a pocket heart. I actually took it out of the selection and put it back in about 3 times. Anyway, I asked him which he would wanted for his mom and he instantly picked this one. Then he put it back and said I love it but maybe she’d want something else. He looked for another 5 or 10 minutes then came back to this one. It maid me feel so good knowing he gave his mom the one I would have chosen for him.

Last but not least I wanted to give my sister Joanne a fused glass heart pendant. This is kind of personal, but Jo took care of me several times when I was young and she’s taking care of Momma now. Thank you Jo for all you’ve done for Momma and for me. You are always in my thoughts and in my heart. I love you Jo.

Here is one of my favorite pictures of my mom, we were in Holland and were having a blast in the gardens. Isn’t that smile beautiful. I love you momma!
