Glass Mosaic’s Class

For those who follow my blogs, you know I love glass. Fused glass is my passion but I love all glass. So when I saw a Mosaic’s class advertised at Full Spectrum in Colorado Springs, I signed up right away. First for those who have known me for a long time, my first fused glass class was at full spectrum with Coral. So anytime I have an opportunity to take a class there I do.

Anyway I digress. I have tried all the different types of glass art; I took a stained glass class when I was in Japan (stained glass really hurt my hands), I took a couple of flame working classes, but my first was with Leslie (she’s so great) but I just struggle with twisting the rode where it wouldn’t make my bead look deformed,  and of course I took a glass blowing class in Portland – it’s a lot of work but it was fun.  I did take a mosaic class years ago but that was a long time ago and I must tell you, my flowers were horrible.  Anyway I was excited to try it again and this time it’s was with tempered glass which I like.

The class was with Cathy and we had about 8 ladies in the class. It was a lot of fun.We got to pick our picture and being from Colorado most of us did a map. I picked Rocky Mountain state park, such a beautiful area.  We hand-painted the C.

Before I could grout I had to make sure it was dry. So I grouted it at home.

I think it looks pretty good.
