A few months ago, my friend Cathy showed me how to make micro mosaics. As a reminder, here are the ones I made with Cathy.
Since I’m in Korea I thought I’d do some glass work and the only real way to do that is a mix media format. I got grey mosaic sculpt which is softer to black, in my opinion. This first group has mosaic glittery squares, but the other glass i.e., dots, murine, and millefiori are fused.
This next piece is similar, but I got this great alphabet murine that I fused. So, I mixed the 2 together and I really like it. I think this is my new key chain! BTW on the alphabet murrine (middle) do you see any message?
I also fused some great murine, millefiori, and dots so I made several mosaic pieces. I think they turned out really great. Most are pendants, but I did make an eye glass holder as well.
Speaking of Cathy, she and I created LGBTQ artwork for the Inside Out Gala. Here are a few pieces I made and that they grouped them all together and sold them.
I’m curious what y’all think about the mosaic pieces. What is your favorite?
