In the DYK I wrote about my friend Merle and the class with her friends. I also wrote a post how Merle and I did traded glass for one of her beautiful gourds. She also took some glass dots to add to her gourds. Here are some pictures of my new gourd, isn’t it beautiful. She also gave me a paper showing what each symbol means. Isn’t it beautiful?
Here is a close up of bird with the piece of dichroic glass in its beak. Also isn’t the driftwood perfect for it? I just love it!
Here are my two gourds together. I just love them both. Isn’t she so talented? And I love that she includes my glass on her spectacular gourds.
Linda is another wonderful gourd artist that included some of my glass in one of her gourds. I am so honored by both of these talented artists including my glass in their beautiful gourds.

We had such a wonderful time with Karen working on our glass pieces and I was so delighted to be able to trade my work for classes with Karen. I never realized how complex working with glass was nor how many types of glass there were. I am so awed at Karen’s knowledge of glass and what she is able to do with it. Her creations are breathtakingly beautiful. My friends and I plan on many future classes with Karen.
Thank you Karen for a GREAT time, I’m looking forward to our next class!
Merle
I’m humbled by your comments. I had a blast and I’m looking forward to having our next class. Thank you! Karen
