Normally I don’t teach (my studio is always messy) but occasionally I will have a friend over and we will make a fused glass piece together. Lela – One of my good friends came over the other day to make a gift for someone very special to her. We made fused glass flower waves together. I really enjoyed having Lela over and sharing my love of glass with her.
Here are our two fused glass flower waves, prior to firing. The glass is iridized and so much prettier in person.
The pictures below are of the piece Lela made. Didn’t she do a great job!
The pictures below are of the piece I made. I love how we had access to the same glass and they look so different.
What makes these pieces even better is that except for a couple of murrini I made each piece of vitrigraph and most of the murrini including the orange, blue, and red. I love that I can do that. I love glass! I look forward to hearing what y’all think.
