Fused Glass – Texture

I love fused glass and one of the things I enjoy about glass is you can make it into so many things.

One of my favorite techniques is called kiln carving or bas relief. One way to do that is to put the glass on a textured mold and it will pick up that texture. I like using iridized glass because it has a rainbow effect and it makes the texture more interesting.

Some of my favorites are lady in the woods and greenman. I like to make them with green iridized, but of course they can be made with any color.

I can either leave them flat, so it would come with a stand.

Instead of flat I can also make it into a mantel sconce. Again I just love fused glass textured art.

I also have the tree of life texture.
