In my DYK for March’s Fused Glass Newsletter I focused on my class with Laurie Spray. My second fused glass project was a present for my daughter. It was supposed to be for her 19th birthday; but I couldn’t help giving it to her as soon as I got home. She liked it, especially when I explained each section of it.
In addition, to the piece I made for Madi I bought a special fused glass picture from Laurie. Laurie painted it and it’s a beautiful piece. I’ve mentioned before how I like buying artwork from the instructors I take classes from, to me it’s a sign of respect. This piece is very special. First Madi likes bunnies, she has glasses, likes blue, hats, and funny socks. I just couldn’t resist. When she saw it, Madi said you definitely know me. *I didn’t want to include Laurie’s special piece but trust me it’s amazing.
