Fused Glass Poppy

One of my good customers and friends asked me if I had any fused glass poppies. I have the two below, one is pretty big and one I turned into an Ikebana vase.

She wanted a smaller one, so I made her the poppy below, the first two pictures are of the poppy before slumping. I made it in a casting mold with 4-5 colors and sizes of red. I think it’s beautiful and the colors are perfect. I slumped it into a small bowl shape.

I hope she likes it. I enjoyed making it. Here are my 3 styles of casted poppies together.

    • There are various ways to learn how to fuse glass. First I’d recommend you take a class locally. There are also excellent ebooks (reasonable costs) and videos. If you’d like to know specifics please email me and I’ll give you some specific links. Karen
