Fused Glass – Mold of the month

Before I got really crazy busy I was writing one blog a month about a new mold each month.  I know it’s been a while but I have some cool molds so I thought I’d start writing my mold of the month again.  This is a cool mold it’s a drop and drape combined. I like it for several reasons. First, I really like fused glass drops and drapes. The only problem with it is I have a depth perception issue and I cant tell if the bottom piece is exactly centered.

The other thing I’m not sure if you can see in the picture is it’s pretty small; 4 inches tall, 6 inches diameter top rim and 2 1/2 inches on the bottom. I also like how the drape part looks like a little bowl.  I made one a while back but it’s a little bigger, and the bottom is different, it’s called footed vase. I like them both, I just have to figure out a way to make sure the foot is centered on the drop.
