Every month I’ve been letting ya’ll know what the Awareness Ribbons are for that particular month. There are several awareness causes and ribbons dedicated to the month of May and I have several Fused Glass May Awareness pieces that represents various May awareness causes / ribbons however, I want to focus on two Awareness causes for May.
The Grey Ribbon is for Brain Cancer, it’s very personal to me, my first husband died of a Brain Tumor it’s a horrible disease and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Additionally, a good friend of mine has it now. I just want people to know it’s not a joke it’s a devastating disease that needs a cure desperately. It can change who the person is and it’s heartbreaking to watch.
The Red Ribbon is for Strokes, again very personal to me, my mom has had several strokes and with every one she has we don’t know if it will her last.
Again there are many worthy causes for May, but both Brain Cancer and Strokes are so so personal to me. That being said I have other fused glass May awareness ribbons as well.
