Fused Glass Ingots for Jewelry

Sometimes, when I create fused glass jewelry I make a block of glass to cut my pieces from. In metal terms a block of metal is called ingot so I thought I’d steal the term for my glass ingots.

Anyway first I fuse various pieces of glass together. I added a lot of dichroic and various colors and take it to a full fuse.  You can tell I made a lot of different ones. So I’ll be doing some serious cutting and drilling  soon.

After they are fused I use templates (below) to trace shapes on them. I can also drill for my snap jewelry.

I’ll post again when I cut the pieces into fused glass jewelry. There are some amazing pieces I can’t wait to finish them.
