I love glass and I love figuring out different ways to use my fused glass. I’ve been learning a bit about resin and I wanted to see how it works with fused glass. Plus, since my kilns are full with my new fused glass production order I thought it would be a great time to try it.
So the Resin I used is a 2 part resin with a hardener and the Resin. The first set I did was pendants. I also included some alcohol inks. The purple ink faded a bit but I like them. As I’ve mentioned I make a lot of pebbles. The bad thing is I don’t always remember which is 90 COE and which is 96 COE. Well in case you didn’t know they are in compatible together and when fused together they will break.
The first picture is of the resin with a little fused glass pebble. I let them set about 24 hrs then popped them out. I like the pebble above the resin on these. First I put little fused glass pebbles in jewelry resin molds. I like them, but maybe it’s because I’m use to the weight of glass. The resin is lighter than glass.
