Fused Glass Gold

For June I have been focusing my fused glass blogs on videos Tanya Veit teaches on her AAE Glass website in her Education center. I’ve blogged about several techniques including: the Glass Glo brick plate, Mosaic tile plate, the fused glass quilt plate, and several jewelry techniques. I also blogged about my class with Alice and that we added gold to our landscapes. The first time I used gold in my fused glass was with one of Tanya’s techniques. I think it was the shimmer video.  Anyway, I used it once and wasn’t that impressed, but in class I fell in love with the gold. It just adds a touch of elegance.  The one thing about adding gold is you need to make several because the gold is expensive and you don’t want to waste it.

To say the least I went crazy with the gold. Check them out and let me know if you like it as much as I do!!

I also added gold to a poker guards, the round and the bear on the right side. I haven’t decided on the bear on the left side, it’s pretty without the gold. What do ya’ll think. I also want to make a fused glass bear into a pendant.

I also added gold to some of my fused glass shells. They are amazing! I made them a bit thick so I will probably keep them as poker guards. The purple sand dollar is mine! Isn’t it lovely!
