First as I mentioned in my Resolution / Goals blog I want to try to use not only my glass but my findings I’ve been hoarding (I mean saving). I always say everything looks better with glass. These little cases are actually mirrors. I always have little fused glass dots around so I thought I’d try them on the mirror cases. I also added resin to make sure the glass dots stay in place. I think I’ll keep the one on the right to see how they hold up.
I also made some jewelry. I have several red fused glass pendants but this one is my newest along with matching earrings. While I was making my mirror cases I got out some of my bezel hearts and added some fused glass dots and resin to them to make some beautiful fused glass mosaic pendants.
I’ve had all three of this glass around for a while. At first I was going to add the two art pieces to a wooden box but they didn’t fit and the clear one wouldn’t work properly. When I was going through my studio I had an “ah ha” moment and decided to make them into hanging pocket vases. In addition I had a piece of glass that I made (called a design sheet) and since it was pink I thought it would make a pretty pocket vase too. I’m really happy with all them they are perfect little gifts that can hold flowers, etc.
These are just a few fused glass pieces I made for Valentines day. I hope you like them. Let me know if there is something you would like me to create for your Valentine.
