There is so much to fused glass, techniques, glass, molds, etc. I enjoy all of the above. I’m constantly learning new techniques, buy various types of glass, and of course molds. Of course the best of all worlds is to combine special glass, techniques, and molds together in one special piece.
I wrote a blog about a special fused glass / mold artist (Paul) last month. He creates these amazing textured place, in addition to slumping molds. Moreover, the bubble paint I’m using in this fused glass piece is of course made by another artist. I love supporting other artists, I think it makes the fused glass piece even more special.
Anyway, I used bubble paint on special iridized glass then fired it over the mold. I love the combination of the iridized glass, the bubbles, and of course the picture or texture of piece.
I still have to fire it one more time by slumping over a mold to make it into a candle shield. I think it’s going to be pretty cool.
I think it’s a pretty cool fused glass I hope you like the piece as much as I do.
