For March I’m focusing on fused glass e-book studios is Helios. As I mentioned in my last blog, they have 17 e-books albeit, I’ll be focusing on 12 e-books that I’ve purchased and love.
The 8th & 9th fused glass e-book I want to talk about is Paul’s fused glass design sheets e-books. Designer sheets or part sheets are kind of like pattern bars but they are a single sheet with embellishments that you fuse together with another piece of glass. I won’t be able to slump any of them because I have to commercial orders.
It’s funny this designer sheet was my least favorite, now it was my favorite. The reactions are amazing.
I’m not sure if you can tell but bottom is iridized gold, it’s beautiful.
My last fused glass designer sheet from e-book 1 is so cool I left it as a dish verses cutting it up and adding it to another piece of glass.
Paul published 2 designer sheet e-books, I only made 1 designer sheet but it’s a pretty one.
This is a designer sheet from #2, it’s so pretty and the glass I paired with it is stunning. I really liked this technique. It reminds me of mokume gane I use to make in polymer clay.
When I slump them into shape I’ll post pictures, but it won’t be anytime soon.
