Fused glass – Drop Vases Mistakes

A couple of months ago I finished up some of my fused glass drop vases. Here are the pictures of them and the majority of them turned out beautifully.

However, there were a couple that didn’t turn out well. The first picture shows how I separated it, the how uneven it was, so I trimmed it off and the last picture shows it finished. It’s kind of short but it’s so pretty.

The next one had a deep cut, so I cut it off as well. Again, very short and narrow but, I love it now.

There was a little bit of glass left over from each of the vases above, so I added them to clear glass and made small little dishes.

I don’t have the previous versions of the one below and the rim is very thin, but I like it.

I tried to fire the edges of two of my pieces and they totally messed up. The blue melted down, but I kind of like it, so I am leaving it the way it is, it’s so unique.

The red flattened almost completely (2nd picture). I cut out two small pieces (3rd picture), I’m thinking Christmas ornaments – I may screen print on them. The bottom two pictures are the pendants I made with the other section; they are very cool because they have a channel running through them.

I love how you can just make something out of a piece of glass that doesn’t turn out. I think the new pieces are even better than the original pieces. What do you think?
