I love creating fused glass. I also enjoy donating my fused glass to worthy causes. My friend Cathy told me about Inside Out Youth Services for LGBTQ+ youth 13-24. I have many gay and lesbian friends and you may not know it, my daughter is part of the LGBTQ+ community. I do not agree with all the trans policies, however do I love children and I don’t want any child out on the street for their sexuality. As my friend Cathy said, it’s all about love and for me it’s the love of children.
“By providing support systems, creating brave spaces, and teaching life skills to all youth in our community free of charge, we further the happiness and health of LGBTQ+ youth (13 to 19 years old) in the Colorado Springs vicinity.“
To support their gala I donated several pieces, here are the fused glass key chain, magnet, and pendants I’m donating. I’m really proud of them.
I also created 3 tiny fused glass dishes, perfect for tea bags or just as decoration. I really like the small dishes, they are so fun and beautiful.
Then I created bigger fused glass dishes, these are not food safe because I added dichroic to them to add some sparkle to it.
This fused glass rainbow heart is beautiful and perfect little art piece. I love it and it signifies what I was talking about – love.
This is the biggest fused glass piece I donated, I love it. I added lots of murrine and millefiori in addition to the rainbow tree. Isn’t it beautiful.
I hope my fused glass art pieces raise a lot of money during the gala for these kids. Again here is the link if you’d like to participate in the Gala.
