This month I gave a Fused Glass Ornament Class with 3 of my favorite students. As always I have my liability forms out as well as free gifts for the students. Earlier this month I had a home show with several free gifts so I left them out for Julie, Jeremy, and Anna to chose from.

As as always I have supplies out for the students including dots, vitrigraph, murrini, millifore, and lots of Christmas accessories, and so much more. I normally put out samples but all three had something in mind so I didn’t need to have any samples out.

Every class I conduct I have my gallery set up which means it’s like a home show during each show. Here are some pictures of my fused glass artwork gallery.

Here are some pictures of my inspiration room which is also my “finishing room” where I finish my projects. And where I put some of my favorite pieces.

Here are some pictures of my finished room, which is more fused glass artwork they can use as inspiration or to purchase.

Here are pictures of Jeremy, he made this cool fused glass Gnome with a Christmas Tree for a hat and a little fox. He used different hand tools, the grinder, creating his pieces and putting them in the kiln. If you look closely at the fox, it’s got some devitrification, I sandblasted it and am refiring it.

Here is Julie’s lovely creations a fused glass bird house and a beautiful poinsettia. She did a fabulous job on both of them.

Anna made a beautiful wreath and a Christmas tree. She always does a wonderful job.

I also let them make a free present using one of two different fused glass techniques. Anna and Jeremy made the technique of fusible cutouts in between the glass (magnets. Julie made a pendant with a decal on top)

As always I made a couple of fused glass pieces as well including the free techniques (the one on the far right is a test piece with iridized up and down. The bottom piece shows the decal that Julie made (perfect because the base is light, mine isn’t as good because I wanted to see if the decal is worked well on darker glass).
