Fused Glass Coral and Flower Class

In March I offered a fused glass coral and flower class. I had two advanced students sign up for the class. This class has several techniques that they could make including coral, lattice, lace, and even flowers.

I had two advanced students take the class. What a fun and challenging class, which is why two students instead of my normal 3 student minimum was fine. Chris chose to make coral. She chose purple glass. In case you didn’t know purple glass is made with gold. Her piece is beautiful.

Kayla, wanted to make a flower so I made a sample since the flowers in this technique are all sold and I like to provide samples for students.

This is the flower that Kalya made. I thought it was funny that all 3 of us made our pieces out of purple and violet. The first picture of her flower is without the stamen and then I put a cab in the middle, but it’s up to her whether she keeps it or she may decide on another center, we’ll see.

I wrote an out Chris’s, Kayla’s and Brenda’s vase class (first row of pictures). Chris’s vase is finally finished, and it looks fabulous (bottom row)!
