Fused glass – Confetti Art

I love fused glass one of the fun ways to actually create unique glass is to create confetti glass.

I put clear and colored glass, along with stringer, frit, etc. in a shape and fire it until it’s fully fused. I love confetti glass because it’s truly one of a kind and even I couldn’t re-create the glass.

Typically I tend to make a couple different shapes and colors of the same technique in order to fill my kiln. The pictures below are the 2nd firing. The second firing smooths the glass and edges from my coldworking.

Below are the finished fused glass confetti pieces, these pictures do not do the colors justice. The pieces are pretty thick and have a lot of depth to them.
