Fused Glass Class

In April I gave a fused glass class to four lovely ladies and this month I gave another one to three ladies. Thank you Merle for setting this class up for me. In my first class we made small dishes.

Here is the class set up. I gave each participant is a tray to have all of their projects pieces together. I also had a myriad of supplies out including opal glass, transparent glass, dots, vitrigraph and I had molds out for them to chose from. Additionally I had some safety supplies out.

In this class each of the ladies wanted to make something different. Susan wanted to make small dishes. I showed her various samples. She made 2 dishes and they turned out great, I loved the glass she chose aventurine, dichroic dots, and vitrigraph.

Carol wanted to make a casted fused glass dragonfly. It turned out beautifully, I can’t wait to see how she displays it.

Jana made two magnets and a candle cover. I love what a fabulous job she did on these two pieces.

There was another participant, Susan I want to write a separate post about her but here’s a hint. She’s a weaver and she is using my glass to make this beautiful ornament. Yes – she took some of my glass (recycled bottle glass ornament) and she’s going to incorporate it in her artwork. I can’t wait to see what she does with my glass art.

I can’t wait to give another class. I enjoy sharing my love of Glass! Speaking of sharing glass, I gave each student a free fused glass pendant.
