I’m not sure if most people realize this, but for me when I sell a special piece of fused glass it’s like losing a tiny piece of my heart. Several important fused glass pieces sold a the Doherty craft fair. One of pieces that meant a lot to me is my Buddha. First I tried several times to make my Buddha, not as easy as you’d think. Luckily I made a second right afterwards but it’s at my shop in Denver (Tulips).
Anyway my fused glass Buddha meant a lot to me. This beautiful family bought it as a gift for her. I’m sure they thought I was a bit of a nut. I talked to them for quite some time. I told them how long it took me to make it and I told them why I didn’t put the 3rd eye in. Anyway they loved it and I loved that my 1st Buddha found such a great home. They didn’t even mind the picture.
