Before I left for my business trip I had a special custom order a pair of fused glass earrings. I’ve used the fused glass bubble technique before but I had never made a pair of earrings with the technique. I did finish them before I sent them, I just didn’t take a picture.
I was trying to match an orphan earring, which is almost impossible especially by mail. So I recommended she change the earring into a pendant and sent her a couple of pinch bails. I had to make several samples to try and match colors. At first the bubbles were too big for earrings so I made some more samples and they turned out perfect.
I LOVE them and am so happy I have an extra set. Oh did I mention she was in Australia? Shipping wasn’t too bad either, much less than I expected it to be, we’re just waiting on them to get there.
I wanted to write about this order for two reasons, one I love bubbles and two I actually like custom orders. I hope you like them as much as I do.
