I’m sure I’ve mentioned that I try to take 3 fused glass classes every year. I love learning new techniques and sharing the love of glass! In October I took a class with Alyssa Oxley she’s known for her fused glass boxes.
We made 3 fused glass projects in class. I enjoyed making them but they take a lot of measuring.
This is my small box. I made my lid a bit big. I think I will trim it down so it fits the box a bit better.
My next box is bigger and I think it’s pretty awesome. Just a lot of measuring, in case you didn’t know measuring so precisely is a bit difficult for me. But I do like the insert, it’s so pretty and has so much depth and even a bit of reaction!
The next project we made is more of an art piece I still need to cut the center pieces for the other to spaces. The base is made the same way as the boxes; lots of measuring. It’s so much prettier than the picture shows.
I really love the boxes, but they are a lot of work!

Do you have the instructions/mold for doing this box?
I took the class from Alyssa Oxley. I know Laurie Spray does boxes too.
