Fused Glass Belt Buckles

I’m a firm believer in that everything looks better with glass. Which is why I don’t just make pendants. I’ve just started making Fused Glass Belt Buckles and I love them. They are a little bit of a pain to make because most of the findings I bought had a lip around them I’d cut the glass, fire it and of course it shrank or spread and wouldn’t fit. Plus they have a little bit of a bend in it so I had to fire the glass over a little bump to make it fit the buckle finding.  So in reality they were quite a few firings.

But I finally got some done that I really like. Again these are just a start. I really think they are beautiful and I can add decals or make the buckles in any size or color that you want. They can also be for either men or women.

Here are 3 of the new fused Glass Belt Buckles and the back of them.

These are a little bigger on a different back.

The last belt buckle is actually attached to the belt.

Let me know what you think. I’ve been working on an oval and round but have had so many issues – I cut it then fire then it shrinks or spreads, what a pain. 🙂
