I love using Murrini in my fused glass art work. Most is 96 COE or 90 COE. Here are just a couple of recent examples.
Murrini doesn’t just come in 90 & 96 COE, it also comes in 104 COE. In case you didn’t know the higher the COE the softer the glass. Murrini starts out as cane and then you chop it up. I fused these in casting molds except the blue flower, I just full fused it. These are very tiny, as in smaller than a dime, but so elegant.
Here are some snaps I made with the 104 COE Murrini as well. Love Murrini. In case you didn’t know Murrini was first developed in Italy.
Lastly there were little bits and pieces so I put them in my bear casting mold and look how great he turned out!! you can even see some of the cane.
Which is your favorite?
